The Golden Rule Gallery is a lifestyle shop and gallery with a tightly curated collection of local artworks and handmade crafts from around the world. It has a wide range of art and jewelry categories including paintings, bracelets, rings, dresses, bags, shoes, home decor, and many other categories. Every product is artwork in and of itself.
As the business is an art selling company, it can produce a lot of quality images and the target audience of the business is mostly youth. Youths of today like to engage with beautiful photos on Instagram. Therefore, I suggested that they consider Instagram as their main promotional channel. Their purpose for marketing was to increase brand awareness. By acquiring real Instagram followers, they can easily increase their brand awareness and accomplish their purpose. Therefore, Instagram is the right choice.
Remember, the business has a wide range of products. It created a mammoth challenge for them. They had to market the business to a lot of target audience personas and also had to keep every target audience group engaged on the Instagram profile. It often becomes the primary reason for low engagement in posts. They approached me and handed over the challenge to me. It was my responsibility to keep each audience segment engaged on the Instagram profile and to increase followers as well as brand awareness.
After taking on the project, I thoroughly understood their product catalog, business model, and circumstances. Then, I analyzed the market conditions and the size of the industry. Next, I visited the Instagram Dashboard and did an audit of the Instagram account. I looked at the performance of the last 3 months and figured out the types of posts that worked well. I also figured out the appropriate time to post, post frequency, engagement with posts etc.
After analyzing the condition of the Instagram profile, I focused on the target audience groups. I searched for related key words and listened to the discussion happening on related topics. I understood the type of posts that are getting engagement. I understood the demographics and interests of the audience. Based on the social media discussion and interest of the audience, I traced out their interest in the product, reason to buy, buying motivators, and sales barriers. Then, I created several target audience personas.
Next, I identified some of their competitors, visited their Instagram profile, and analyzed their activity to determine their strategy. I also understood their content strategy and took inspiration from them. After understanding the business model, product categories, customer segments, and competitors, I performed a SWOT analysis. I found the essential steps to increase brand awareness, real Instagram followers, and engagements on Instagram.
To create posts that would appeal to and be liked by every target audience persona, I designed a theme and template. The post schedule was also designed so that each target audience group would be engaged, and every product category would be discussed. I did hashtag research and created a list of suitable hashtags. I identified the appropriate time to upload content and the most effective posting frequency. I managed their social media profiles and uploaded quality posts and images consistently.
Furthermore, to increase brand awareness, I focused on paid campaigns and ran several brand awareness campaigns. Brand awareness campaigns used tactics such as storytelling, contests, giveaways, influencer marketing etc. A promotional story was created for each campaign. These campaigns helped to increase brand awareness and real Instagram followers and engagements. Instagram ads were run to make the campaigns successful. My team and I created informative, entertaining, and engaging ads, and managed the campaigns.
At the beginning of the project, both the Instagram profile follower count and engagement per post were approximately 1K and 1-5. But after my social media management service, my Instagram followers have grown to 20.7K and engagement is around 100 engagements per post. Now, they have extremely effective brand awareness.
